KCCA FC coach Abdullah Mubiru was disappointed after his side played to a 1-1 draw against Soltilo Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League on Thursday at Kavumba Recreation ground.

Mubiru revealed that his players didn't show any potential of playing for a team like KCCA.

"It was not the best performance and result but the game has helped to reveal the real players of KCCA in terms of character. Going forward, we need to think twice. We have come to know which players perform when there is pressure. A team like KCCA must be consistent," noted Mubiru.

"You must always perform and deliver. We are very lucky that we got a point looking at the chances they missed. We made a lot of schoolboy mistakes that we should have avoided. There is a lot we have to do to get the real quality to play for KCCA. I'm not happy at all with our players. I won't tolerate this kind of performance. KCCA deserves better," he added.

Bunjo Noordin gave Bright Stars the lead in the 31st minute off Nelson Senkatuka's assist. KCCA replied with Haruna Lukwago's equalizer off Etienne Katenga's assist as the first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

In the second half, Bright Stars made it 2-1 through Ashiraf Mulindi's strike in the 48th minute off Shafik Kakande's assist. KCCA still bounced back through Muhammad Shaban.

The result saw KCCA move to sixth place with 39 points, nine above tenth-placed Bright Stars.

Elsewhere, Patrick Kakande scored the only goal as SC Villa beat Gaddafi 1-0 at Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.

The victory saw Villa move fourth with 45 points with a game in hand. Kitara are top with 47 points while Vipers and BUL are second and third with 46 points each and are only separated by goal difference.
