Eighteen lucky winners of the City Oil Desert Challenge will enjoy a four-day tour of Dubai in November.

This was disclosed on April 18, 2023, by the City Tyres Marketing Manager Herbert Bashaasha at the launch of the six-month promotion at their branch on Bombo Road.

Taxi Driver Julius Kisombo is the first low-end motorist to win a ticket to Dubai in the second edition of the City Oil Desert Challenge promotion this year.

They will enjoy a four-day and night fully paid tour in Dubai during the desert challenge competitions that are always held annually in the United Arab Emirates.

Kisombo a taxi driver on Kayunga-Bugerere Road won a ticket after servicing his tax UBD694B at City Oil Nakawa.

The Matatu driver who admitted to Vision Sport that he does not have a passport noted that he will start processing one.

“This is a dream to me. I have never had any hope of boarding a plane and also, and I hear many people pay money to travel but for me, it was a call informing me that everything is paid for. I will start processing my passport,” Kisombo said.

The other two winners of the ticket included businessmen Joshua Zaake and Brian Nyanzi.

The other four winners including Robert Ssesanga and Hana Katuntu won vouchers for fuel worth sh100,000 and wheel balancing and alignment of their cars. 

Herbert Bashaasha the company marketing manager, said that giving back to their clients is a priority for them and many more goodies will be won outside those traveling.

 

“In all the draws we shall be conducting every month, two people will be winning other goodies that include Free wheel balance and alignment service and also fuel worth sh100,00=,” Bashaasha said.

He explained that to enter the draw one needs to take his car for service at any of their branches countrywide.

After yesterday’s draw, there are five remaining with the final to be held in November when they travel to Dubai.
