From the City Oil Desert Challenge currently going on, to the City Tyres and Pirelli Formula One promotion and now to the Ling Long Tyres Wuling Electrical Car Promotion, the Mandela Group of Companies will stop at nothing to appease their customers.

Their love for sport has seen them support chess, basketball, football, badminton, and motorsport and they continue being keen on giving back to their clientele.

On Monday night at the group’s sports center on the sixth street industrial area, Mandela Group directors; Yasir Ahmed, Hussein Ahmed, and Ahmed Salman alongside other staff members and the top brass from Ling Long; Managing Director Zhong Shuang Quan, Sales Director Kathy Kao and Sales Manager Kevin Li unveiled two Wuling Electrical Air EV Cars that will be won through a six-month promotion.

The ‘Win an Electrical Vehicle’ promotion will require customers to buy two Ling Long tyres (with cash or by credit) to be able to enter the draw. The promotion cuts across all segments of cars; passenger cars, SUVs, the 4x4s, and trucks. You only need to buy two tyres and also do wheel alignment to enter the draw at all City Oil/City Tyres locations.

There will be two draws, the first coming in the first week of October before the second draw in January 2024. Those who bought the tyres on Monday had their coupons dropped in the raffle box.

City Tyres director Yasir Ahmed said the two vehicles were a donation from Ling Long to the Mandela Group which after deliberation decided to give back to their customers.

“It has been truly 15 years of partnership and it has been a pleasure working with Ling Long and it is now the top tyre brand in Uganda, and we are hoping to continue growing it further,”

Zhong hailed the Mandela Group for always being pioneers in starting different businesses and for steering the Ling Long brand in the country.

Kao said their cooperation started 15 years ago and along the way, the two entities have worked and developed and achieved together.

“We are not just partners but one big family and we shall continue working and supporting each other for a bright future. We hope these electrical cars will bring new opportunities to the country and Africa as a whole,” Kao stated.

The Deputy Honorary Consul from the Canadian Embassy Sarah Rubanga Kaggwa hailed Mandela for being loyal to their customers and always giving the best services to them.

The Wuling Electrical cars which cost in the range of sh15-50m, are manufactured in Indonesia and are part of a large family of electrical cars.
