Snakebites: A stinging problem for Bubeke islanders in Kalangala
The World Health Organization says that an estimated 5.4 million people worldwide are bitten by snakes each year, with 1.8 to 2.7 million cases of envenomings (involving venomous snakes).

Following three cases of snakebite death within a year on the island of Bubeke in Kalangala district, residents are urging health authorities to avail them with antivenoms to
