“During the first month, Dr Michael and I simply enjoyed Uganda and got to know Mutabaali, our new business partner. During the day, Dr Michael and I worked on various tasks needed to support my charity work. In the evenings and on weekends, we spent time with Mutabaali. The deception regarding the business venture started in October, after Jonas arrived in Uganda to begin paying the regulatory taxes and organising the 10kg gold shipment from Uganda to Dubai in the UAE,” she says.
