Why Ugandan politicians walk scot-free after bribing voters

Despite the existence of a clear law against bribery, many politicians have continued to give out these ‘gifts’. Some have had their competitors seek redress and the court has declared such candidates’ election null and void on account of bribery.

Agaba proposed that candidates found guilty of voter bribery be barred from contesting in elections for 10 years.
