West Nile parliamentary committee heads pledge better service delivery

Among the West Nile MPs who have been given the driving seat at parliamentary committees include Tom Aliti Candia, the MP Maracha East, as the vice chair of the budget committee, Jane Avur Pachuto, the woman MP Pakwach district as the chairperson for equal opportunities committee, Emmanuel Ongiertho, the MP Nebbi Municipality as the vice chairperson for education and sports, Rose Obiga, the Woman MP Terego, as the vice for public service local government, Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny, the MP Ora County as the chairperson for foreign affairs committee and Eng. William Tiyo Oda, the MP Ayivu, East as the vice chairperson for the Infrastructure committee.

Following the appointments, the committee chairpersons have vowed to use the platform to enhance service delivery for both the country and the West Nile sub-region in particular.

Tom Aliti Candia, the MP for Maracha East, pledged to use his vast experience in finance, planning, and budgeting to enhance service delivery through economic oversight and monitoring government investments.

Terego district Woman MP Rose Obigah, the vice chair of the public service local government committee, acknowledges the enormous challenges of service delivery in local governments.



For the vice chairperson education and sports, Emmanuel Ongiertho, he will be on the lookout for opportunities and projects that can benefit the West Nile Sub region in particular as part of his contribution to the region.
