Tell your relatives to vote for President Museveni — Skilling trainees told

“You should show your gratitude to our Jajja (grandparent) for what he has done for you. You must all turn up on January 15 to vote for President Museveni, and ask your parents and relatives to vote for him,” Ssewava said.

Joseph Ssewava Mukasa, one of the coordinators of the Presidential Skilling Industrial Hubs, told the trainees that President Museveni, whom he said is the vision bearer of the skilling hubs, had a vision of offering free education for all, but his programme was interrupted by people with selfish interests who charge fees from poor students, forcing many to drop out. Presidential Industrial Hub trainees countrywide have been asked to appeal to their parents and relatives to vote for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential flag bearer, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in appreciation for offering free vocational training to the unemployed youth throughout the country.

Joseph Ssewava Mukasa, one of the coordinators of the Presidential Skilling Industrial Hubs, said that the youth who were recruited to acquire skills in the skilling centres had dropped out of school, and many had lost hope.

He, however, said that President Museveni, whom he said is the vision bearer of the skilling hubs, had a vision of offering free education for all, but his programme was interrupted by people with selfish interests who charge fees from poor students, forcing many to drop out.

“You should show your gratitude to our Jajja (grandparent) for what he has done for you. You must all turn up on January 15 to vote for President Museveni, and ask your parents and relatives to vote for him,” Ssewava said.

He was speaking last week to the trainees of the Busoga Presidential Skilling Hub, where he led a team of leaders from Bugweri district to tour the centre and listen to testimonies from the over 240 trainees from Busoga sub-region.

The visiting team included religious leaders under the Inter-religious Council of Uganda, led by Venerable Charles Bazibu Wabutembo, the archdeacon of Busesa, Bugweri District, Kadhi, Sheikh Faisal Walya Kakaire and his assistant, Sheikh Swadiq Muhamood Isiko.

They were accompanied by the assistant Resident District Commissioner, Abdu Luzze.

“We have come here to appeal to you that when you return home for holidays, tell all your parents, relatives and friends that they must not look at any other candidate apart from President Museveni,” Ssewava told the trainees, adding that their testimonies must be heard by everyone from their respective localities to prove Museveni’s kindness towards the vulnerable and poor youth.

He added, “All the trainees here should join our efforts to protect President Museveni's jealousy by voting for him overwhelmingly.”

Ven. Bazibu applauded President Museveni for his vision to offer free training to all unskilled and unemployed youths countrywide, who will stop looking for jobs but employ themselves.

“We have many job seekers in the country, but for you, this is a great opportunity that you will not look for jobs,” he said.

Quoting Proverbs 4:13, Bazibu appealed to the trainees to follow wise counsel, put into practice all that they have learnt, adding, “education is your life, guard it well”.

He said President Museveni wants all the youths to have a bright future, and when it comes to voting on January 15, they must not look at any other candidate. He commended the State House comptroller, Jane.

Sheikh Kakaire asked the trainees to love President Museveni to the core, saying he is the only one who will guarantee peace and security he brought to the country.
