The National Resistance Movement (NRM) hopeful Members of Parliament have today (June 02) started picking expression of interest forms.
Among the top legislators who have picked nomination forms are Vice-President Jessica Alupo, Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Henry Okello Oryem, former Minister for the Presidency Esther Mbaayo, Workers' MP Rwakajara and Lydia Wanyoto.

During a briefing shortly after picking her nomination forms, Speaker Among commended the NRM party for its transparency in the entire electoral process, adding that the party has been and will always be a democratic one.
When asked if she will run as an independent if she fails to go through the party primaries, Among said she is a tested leader and she can't fail to go through the party primaries.
