The National Resistance Movement (NRM) is slated to hold its retreat for the newly elected party members and independent candidates who have expressed willingness to work with NRM next week.
While addressing the media today (April 2), Richard Todwong, the NRM secretary general, announced that the retreat starts on Tuesday, April 4, and is expected to end on April 15.
The NRM chairman, who is the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, is expected to be the keynote speaker on the opening and closing day, Todwong revealed.
Todwong revealed that on Monday next week, all the elected MPs are expected to be in Kololo getting accredited and doing COVID-19 tests.
"We have invited all the independents who are affiliated to NRM and are willing to sign a memorandum of understanding with NRM to come for this Retreat," Todwong said, adding the party retreat is important because the party uses the retreat to highlight more on the party manifesto, future plans, what the party expects from the MPs, among others.
