The three-day exercise, according to the revised 2026 election road map, will end on Friday, September 5, 2025.

At the Electoral Commission offices in Ntinda, Kampala, several aspirants from Kampaa have turned up for nomination, among them being National Unity Platform’s Sauda Madada, whom her party denied a ticket, and she’s now seeking the Lord Councillor (LC IV) seat for Kampala Central as an Independent candidate.

For parliamentary elections, the nomination period was shifted from mid-September to October 15 and 16, 2025, and these will be conducted at the respective district or city returning offices.

Presidential candidates have been picking forms since August 11. The nomination will be on September 23-24. Parliamentary candidates will be nominated on October 16-17. Presidential and parliamentary campaigns start on October 4 and end on January 12.
