Led by their Kampala chairperson, Frank Mawejje, the riders hailed President Museveni for giving them an enabling working environment in the city despite some prevailing challenges.
“We cannot forget the pivotal people, including Maj. Gen. Christopher Ddamulira, State House Comptroller Jane Barekye and Major Emmanuel Kuteesa, who have played an incredible role in empowering our bodaboda SACCOS, among other support,” said Mawejje.
While elaborating about the ‘Stage ku Stage’ campaign strategy, Kampala mobilisation in charge, Maj. Kuteesa said they intend to reach all the bodaboda riders from their respective areas of operation to gunner support for the president.
“We have started with over 10,000 riders within Kampala that will do stage-to-stage mobilisation not only for President Museveni, but also for all the NRM flag-bearers,” Kuteesa said, adding that, “We chose to launch our campaign on a Sunday, to avoid disrupting people’s businesses and when the traffic flow is a bit friendly.”
Meanwhile, the Crime Intelligence Director Ddamulira told New Vision Online, that the same strategy will spread to the districts of Mukono and Wakiso.

This has come at a time when the NRM Presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni, will be expected to campaign for support in the area soon.
On the same event, a ‘Say No to Protest Vote’ campaign was also launched, aiming at countering the ‘Protest vote’ slogan that is being championed by the National Unity Platform (NUP).
Edward Ssebulime aka Eddy Signal, led a procession up to Kawempe Growers with others while displaying placards protesting against the NUP’s Protest vote slogans.
“We call upon all peace loving Ugandans to wake up very early on January, 15, 2026, and vote for president Yoweri Museveni and all the NRM flag bearers without any fear, this is the time for us to reward him for his exemplary leadership,” Ssebulime said, appealing to all 'Ugandans to ensure they go back to their respective homes after voting'.
