The Democratic Front (DF) is finalising preparations for a high-level meeting involving leaders and candidates from the Teso sub-region. The event aims to unveil the party’s vision and mobilise support ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The meeting, scheduled for Friday, June 20, in Soroti city, is expected to attract over 200 delegates, who will engage with the party’s leadership and candidates vying for various elective positions under the Democratic Front.

Mathias Mpuuga, the party's founder, stated that the engagement is part of a broader strategy to recruit members, sensitise communities, and rally support for a new political direction focused on improving service delivery and governance in Uganda.

Pascal Amuriat, the Democratic Front’s regional coordinator in Teso, expressed confidence in the party’s ability to transform Uganda’s economy and restore public trust in political leadership.

The Democratic Front continues to position itself as a viable alternative in Uganda’s political landscape, with more outreach activities planned countrywide.
