Balaam rallies Adjumani voters behind Moses Ali, urges respect for elders

Youth and children affairs state minister Balaam Barugahara has urged young people to respect elders and value their wisdom and experience as he campaigned for Gen. (rtd) Moses Ali in Adjumani district.
Addressing supporters gathered at Paridi Stadium in Adjumani district on January 10, 2026, Barugahara appealed to residents to support Moses Ali in the forthcoming general elections, describing him as a devoted leader who deserves respect from the people.
Balaam emphasised the importance of respecting elders, condemning those who have continued to criticise Moses Ali because of his current health condition, instead of praying for him.

"You can't get blessings if you undermine and discriminate against elders because of their age and sickness, because you are not God, since you can also fall sick at any time. We should pray for his healing," Balaam said.
The minister was in Adjumani to mobilise support for all National Resistance Movement party flag bearers in the district, as well as the party’s presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni.
