The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party flag-bearer in Vurra county, Lenia Charity Kevin, has prioritised education, access to clean water and the establishment of more health facilities once elected in 2026.
Lenia was speaking during the launch of her campaigns on November 24, 2025, at Vurra sub-county headquarters grounds.
She said skilling the youth through technical institutions and supporting the construction of teachers’ houses will be her key priority.
Kennedy Andeoye is a voter in Ayayia parish in Ajia sub-county, Vurra County.
Andeoye says elected leaders should be able to unite the people and explains that Ajia sub-county is facing numerous border conflicts, which need urgent attention.
Bernard Odipio, another voter, said land fragmentation and the rampant sale of land is affecting sustainable agriculture in the area.
Meanwhile, Gloria Ceniru expressed concern over disunity and hate messages during the campaign period.
The race for Vurra County Member of Parliament has attracted six candidates, with Lenia Charity Kevin as the NRM flag-bearer, John Anguyo (Forum for Democratic Change), former minister Dr Gabriel Ajedra Aridru (Independent), incumbent MP Yovan Adriko (Independent), Emmanuel Dradu (Independent) and Dr Madira Kefa (Independent)
