How one question changed Police officer’s career

“I want people to understand that deaf people are part of society. They deserve equal opportunities, equal services and equal respect,” Assistant Inspector of Police Kenedy Katabazi says. Within the police Force, he has also become a resource person, mentor and adviser to colleagues who encounter deaf people in the course of their work. For Katabazi, however, the most important measure of success is not recognition. It is trust.
