Newton Isaac's career began not in publishing, but in property brokerage in Kampala during the 2009 vacation after his A-levels.
Observing how intermediaries connected sellers and buyers, he earned an early commission that funded his next ventures and taught him the value of information and networks.
Born in Buwenge, Jinja District, he attended Buwenge Parents Primary School and secondary school in Luwero.
He studied Population Studies and Information Systems at Makerere University without completing a degree, later earning a BBA from Metropolitan International University.
Even before university, he was running a small recruitment operation from rented office space, matching jobseekers with employers.
A key turn came in 2011 when he joined Linya Marketing Agency, founded by a Ugandan entrepreneur based in Germany, as marketing manager.
Working on recruitment, advertising and Exposition Magazine introduced him to editorial production. After leaving following disagreements, he founded Newton Marketing and Promotions Agency in 2012 and launched The BizMart, a newspaper-sized business periodical for enterprise profiles and advertising.
In 2014 he redesigned it as The BizMart Magazine, focused on business profiles, entrepreneurship and investment.
The first edition was reported to have a planned print run of 10,000 copies, though actual circulation would require production records to verify.Isaac was simultaneously working full-time in media, PR and IT at Ham Group.
The cost, time and supervision required for print made it difficult to sustain, prompting a shift to digital publishing, which offered flexibility and wider reach. He describes this as a lesson in aligning ambition with available time, capital and capacity.
The business then expanded beyond Uganda. In 2022 he partnered with Kennedy Sande Nyongesa to develop Bizmart.Africa, targeting a continental audience. In September 2023 they established Bizmart Holdings LLC in California as a structure for international publishing, digital media and related services.
The company reports over 50 digital brands, though launching brands is distinct from establishing their readership or commercial sustainability. In December 2025, the partners established Wall Street Digital Media FZC in the UAE.
Alongside entrepreneurship, Isaac turned to political nonfiction. In late 2023 he began researching Donald Trump, leading to Trump Unyielding: The Quest for America's 47th Presidency, published after the November 2024 election.
Based on documentary research rather than exclusive access, it was later expanded into the 550-page 2026 edition, Trump Unyielding: A Biography of Donald J. Trump.
It received coverage in Ugandan press and appeared in Amazon category rankings, which reflect category position at a point in time rather than audited sales.
Today Isaac works across publishing, media entrepreneurship, authorship and strategic communications, which he identifies as his main focus.
