Bwambizo wants President Museveni to intervene in the land dispute
The family of Geoffrey Bwambizo has objected to plans to bury the former permanent secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Keith Muhakanizi on a disputed piece of land in Lyantonde District.
Through his lawyer Charles Beinomugisha of ATLAS Advocates, Bwambizo, the LC I chairperson of Kagaga village in Kasagama sub-county, Lyantonde district filed a civil suit before Masaka High Court accusing Muhakanizi of unscrupulously taking over his land measuring 152 acres.
Bwambezo jointly sued Muhakanizi together with the Registrar of Titles who he accuses of conniving to maliciously cancel the title of his land before transferring it to Muhakanizi.

Bwambezo alleges that he bought the said land in 1986 from the late Elias Kiggundu, and wonders how his title was canceled and the land allocated to another person without his consent.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Bwambizo appealed to President Yoweri Museveni to help resolve the matter
"I appeal to President Yoweri Museveni to help and intervene in this matter and ensure that Keith is not buried in this land because the property is subject to a court case," Bwambizo said.
"Keith rented this land from me so many years ago for one year at sh400,000, he then declined to leave after the one year elapsed. Shortly after, he claimed ownership. This land is mine. I never inherited it. I bought it in 1986, and I will never give up on my property."
This disputed land is on Block 64, Plot 20 in Lyantonde District.
