Widow accuses presidential aide of eviction from her home

On September 3, 2025, as Bena Nakiganda, a 52-year-old widow was resting inside her house, five cars parked outside. Aboard one of the vehicles was the senior presidential assistant on special duties, Phiona Barungi, whom she accuses of leading a group of goons to forcefully evict her from her property.  Barungi and her team claimed they had purchased the house in question from Nakiganda’s late husband, Sergeant Moses Sendege.
