In celebration of partnership and loyalty, Vision Group has recognised over 100 of its West Nile region customers, particularly long-term supporters of Arua One FM, during the group's first-ever Customer Engagement Programme in the region.
The gathering at Le Tsuba Grand Hotel in Arua city on May 15, 2026, brought together community leaders and Vision Group's top executives for a face-to-face interaction between media providers and their most dedicated partners.
The event, which culminated in a luncheon and certificate awards for loyal customers, marked Vision Group's 40th anniversary—not as a typical corporate celebration, but as a genuine dialogue with those who have sustained the media house through four decades of impactful multi-platform journalism.

Arua One FM station manager Grace Lekuru credited the station's regional success to "the continued trust and teamwork exhibited by the customers."
Vision Group head of broadcast Moses Ateng, representing the marketing department, reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to service improvement.
"We are committed to improving our services in areas where customers' needs are not met. Please give honest feedback on the services provided by the radio station for improvement areas to be identified."
The emotional highlight came when outgoing Editor-in-Chief Barbara Kaija urged West Nile residents to own Arua One FM.

"We are grateful to God that Vision [Group] has been able to stand and serve the country for 40 years... Arua One does not belong only to Vision Group but to the people of West Nile who are served by it," said Kaija.
"If Arua One closes, Vision Group will continue with other radios and this is your station. Make sure it grows. If something is right, tell them, and if something is not going well, do not fear to tell them so that it can be corrected."
Transformation and telling the gospelVision Group Chief Executive Officer Don Wanyama said the engagement was both one of gratitude and strategic dialogue.
"The engagement aimed at thanking the partners for keeping the faith with Vision Group and Arua One, and forging a way on what can be done better," he said.

Wanyama revealed how the station's recent rise to number one in the IPSOS report followed "two years of hard work as we played a long-time number two to Radio Pacis."
Wanyama urged the clients to "be our ambassadors by telling all those people who are not yet working with us to come and work with us. We are a good platform, we are professional and we can deliver and our national presence sets us apart."
He announced plans for digital expansion, noting that "radio has gone to visual radio and that is why we are going to rework our studio and give you more of visual radio as it is the space that hosts the biggest number of young people."
TestimoniesCustomers shared compelling testimonials about their partnerships with Vision Group.
Ann Hope Anguyo, a 2025 best farmers competition winner, praised the agricultural programming.
"I appreciate Vision Group for the amazing job in agriculture. I appeal that more hours be added for the agricultural show since it is very impactful."

Priscilla Ndezo (pictured below) of a civil society organisation, highlighted both benefits and concerns.
"I know how this radio has been fundamental for our talk show and the feedback we get through calls has been amazing... [but] heavy advert logs... limit the time for interaction, especially for the paid-for talk shows," she said.

West Nile Police region spokesperson Josephine Angucia confirmed the transformative impact of Arua One FM's messaging and appealed for "at least one hour in a week for a Police programme to cascade community policing and fight crimes in the region."
Madi-West Nile diocesan secretary Godfrey Nasser described their partnership as instrumental.
"Arua One is the only station where the bishop has a fellowship annually... We have done so many things together and we shall continue to do so wherever the need arises."
Resident City Commissioner Arua Alice Otekat Akello said: "Arua One FM has firmly established itself as a well-listened to radio station and highly respected media house in the region... we all value it so much for the objectivity and public interest programming."
She pledged her commitment to "guarantee a safe, secure and enabling environment for the journalist without any hindrances."
