The Vision Group, Chief Executive Officer, Don Wanyama, has commended the proprietor of Ham Group of Companies, Hamis Kiggundu, for the creation of employment opportunities for young people.

Wanyama, who paid a courtesy visit to Kiggundu on Thursday, June, 08, at his offices, in downtown Kampala, further praised him for having an eye for business, enabling the growth of his business conglomerate right from Real estate, education, transport, and logistics.

"I am even surprised to learn that he even established companies outside Uganda like in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. This makes him a big player in our economy, and a serious media house like Vision Group would love to partner with him through exchanging ideas with the intent to make our country better," he said.

Accompanied by the head of sales, Hope Nuwamanya, business development manager, Claire Komakech, marketing manager, Rogers Amazu, and sports hub content manager, Fred Kaweesi, Wanyama explained that the visit was meant to brainstorm with Kiggundu and identify the areas where Vision Group can best partner with Ham Group of Companies.

"Additionally, we wanted to engage him on the sports facility that he has set up and how best we can add value to its transformation," he said, adding that, "a lot of times we have seen these things on social media but I chose to have a first hand and have a feel of the facility and I must congratulate him on what he has done so far because it looks good and I know it will be used very well to promote sports in our country."

Wanyama further disclosed that Vision Group is looking forward to doing business partnerships with the Ham Group of Companies in branding, broadcasting, printing, doing outdoor advertising, among other things.

Kiggundu hailed Vision Group's desire to partner with his entities in a bid to transform Ugandans.

"It is my pleasure to partner with the leading media house in the country, and in addition to what the CEO has said, additionally, in line with mindset, I would like to partner with Vision Group so that we can transmit the 'reason' for our fellow Ugandans," he said.

Kiggundu said he believes that the gap and distance between success and failure is the 'reason'.

"Uganda is not a poor country, we simply fail to reason out poverty. If I have done it, so can other Ugandans," he said.

Kiggundu also noted that if he can do what he has done at his age, other Ugandans can.

He noted that changing the people's mindset to achieve social-economic transformation in Uganda, is his dream and it is where his willingness lies when it comes to partnering with Vision Group.

"Through Vision Group, I am optimistic that knowledge will be transmitted easily to many Ugandans and this will ensure that at least we change the mindset of our people towards actual prosperity, from a mere survival," he noted.
