HARARE - Uganda’s Vice President Maj. (rtd) Jessica Alupo on Wednesday arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe, to represent H.E President Yoweri Museveni at the country’s official launch of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) slated for Thursday.
President Museveni is currently the APRM chairperson.
APRM launch in Zimbabwe marks a major milestone in the country’s governance and development trajectory as it positions itself among African nations embracing accountability, policy innovation and best-practice sharing.

The launch ceremony, to be held in Harare, comes after Cabinet approved Zimbabwe’s APRM National Programme of Action and follows the country’s successful presentation of its governance review report at the continental level.
Alupo was received by H.E Constantino Chiwenga, the host Vice President, at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.
H.E Emerson Manangwa, President of Zimbabwe, hosted Alupo to an official bilateral discussion at his office.
