UPDF ditches piped water, drills boreholes in barracks

The defence ministry has so far drilled 37 boreholes in different barracks across the country to address the water crisis that is hitting soldiers hard.

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) are resorting to drilling boreholes in their barracks to avoid disconnections from the national piped water system arising from accumulated domestic arrears.
