Uganda Cranes player Mustafa Kizza has another chance to return to competitive football after sealing a three-year deal with Portuguese club FC Arouca.
“Ugandan left-back and international Mustafa Kizza is FC Arouca's latest reinforcement,” the club stated on its social media pages.
Kizza has been a free agent following his departure from Major League Soccer Club, CF Montreal last December.
He has been linked with different clubs such as Tanzanian giants Young Africans including returning to KCCA FC.
Kizza will have a chance to play against the top sides in the Portuguese Primeira Liga such as Sporting Lisbon, FC Porto, and SL Benfica.
The Portuguese Primeira Liga is one of the top leagues in Europe, and it has built the careers of players who have later joined other top sides in the English Premier League and Spanish La Liga.
Last season, FC Arouca finished 15th in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, and they will be hoping for better performances during the 2022/2023 season.
