The Tooro Kingdom has partnered with Habitat for Humanity Uganda to construct affordable housing for the elderly to see that they live a decent life.

The Prime Minister of Tooro Kingdom Armstrong Rwomiire on June 26th pledged to support the initiative of building affordable houses for the needy community.

"We are going to work with partners to build 10 houses worth 25 million each year and this initiative will create jobs for the youth," he said during a press conference held at the office of Habitat for Humanity.

"We would like to see that every time the Omunkama of Tooro visits the community he should cut a tape to commission a house for the disadvantaged people. By doing this it will enable people to construct better houses where they are secure."

"Signing of the memorandum symbolizes a shared commitment to improve the living conditions of their citizens and fostering sustainable development, ensuring that every family has a safe place to live in” Rwomiire said.
