The battle for the FUFA Women’s Super League title continued to be exciting as the reigning champions Kampala Queens and table leaders Kawempe dropped points.

Makerere secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC with goals from Hadijjah Nandago and Sharon Namatovu for Kawempe Muslim and Makerere respectively.

Kampala Queens were also held to a goalless draw by a determined Rines SS at their home ground in Lugogo. Rines displayed resolute defending throughout the match, frustrating KQs' attacks and earning a well-deserved point.

"The girls gave their all, and we played a side that was defending in numbers to grab a point. Despite their best efforts, we couldn't score the winning goal. This one is over; let's go on to the next," said Kampala Queens' Charles Ayiekoh.

In Kitende, Wakiso Hill Women were in vibrant form, comfortably defeating UCU Lady Cardinals 2-0. Despite a bright start from UCU, Wakiso capitalised on defensive errors early in the second half, netting two quick goals to secure a second win in two games to move a place on the log.

"It has not been the best of our game, We expected to win but unfortunately we didn't, and in our next fixture at home we need to make use of it," said Coach Collins Ampumuza.

Meanwhile, UCU has not won a game in their last four games, collecting just two of the expected 12 points.

She Maroons, on the other hand, bounced back from a recent defeat to Kawempe with a convincing 2-0 home victory over Lady Doves in Luzira.

In Kawanda, Uganda Martyrs maintained their grip on fourth place in the table after edging out Asubo Ladies 2-1 through Immaculate Nakanjako and Sharon Kanyiginya  This victory extended their lead over fifth-placed UCU to four points, putting them in a strong position to challenge for a top-four finish.
