Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) defending champions the JKL Lady Dolphins will be hoping to maintain their winning streak when they take on KCCA Leopards in a must-win encounter at Lugogo.

During the first leg, the Lady Dolphins conquered the Leopards in a two-point game (83-81) which trimmed their supremacy a little bit.

JKL shooting guard Brenda Ekone led the scoring with 22 points, while Hope Akello and Flavia Oketcho added 20 and 15 points respectively.

But they should also be aware that they will be facing another team that fights for the ball from the start-up to the last through experienced players in Maureen Amoding, Perus Nyamwenge, and Maggie Bagala who combined 52 points during the first leg.

As it stands, both sides look to be title favourites, the real test is today and they will all be looking to see ways of keeping their heads intact.

Meanwhile in the men’s category, defending champion City Oilers who are fresh from the Basketball Africa League (BAL) will face D'mark Power at Lugogo.

Despite a poor show in the Nile Conference, registering one win and six losses the nine-time champions will be looking to their strong league dominance having won their last five fixtures convincingly.
