A TikToker who allegedly abused the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Mutebi and President Yoweri Museveni has been further remanded to Luzira Prison.

Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi remanded Ibrahim Musana also known as Pressure 24/7 until April 29, when he will return to court to know the status of investigations in his hate speech case.

On April 12, 2024, State Attorney Ivan Kyazze informed the court that investigations were almost complete and asked for a short adjournment.

“Prosecution would have completed investigations by the time we return to court,” Kyazze said.

When Musana first appeared in court in February, this year, he declined to plead to the charges, saying he was not aware that by posting such videos, he was committing an offence since he is psychologically unwell having been admitted to Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital some time back.

According to Musana, he was being disturbed by the spirits of Buganda’s dead Kings who demanded him to repair their tombs but he was financially constrained.

Musana said for two years he has been writing to Buganda Kingdom informing them that he is a Prince but he has not received any response.

He, therefore, pleaded with the court to forgive him, saying he will stop attacking leaders and delete all the hate speech content from his TikTok account.

His troubles started when Buganda Kingdom officials reported a case of ridiculing the Kabaka to the Police.  He was then arrested and kept under police custody for a week prior to his production in court.

Prosecution alleges that between August 2023 and February 2024 in areas of Kampala district, while using a computer via his TikTok account, Musana shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including the Kabaka, Museveni, Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and State Minister for Information Communication Technology, Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.
