Police in Arua city are holding three social media users who allegedly used their TikTok accounts to insult others.
The three are musician Irishad Abdul Aziz, known by his stage name LP Shady, Musa Ofoyrwoth, also known as Badman Carlos (a TikToker), and Robert Atiku, commonly known as Jerry (a radio presenter).
Their arrests follow a complaint by assistant deputy town clerk Arua city, Emmanuel Angudubo, who alleged that the trio used TikTok to insult him.
Through his lawyers, Angudubo is seeking sh105 million in damages and demanding a public retraction of the statements made on November 24 and 27, 2025, as well as an apology.
Josephine Angucia, the police spokesperson for West Nile, confirmed that the three had been detained at Arua Central Police Station since Saturday.
