Three arrested after daring city robbery captured on CCTV

The Uganda Police Force on Sunday (February 22) confirmed the arrest of three suspects captured on CCTV robbing a man of his bag at Ganda Shopping Mall in Kisenyi, Kampala district.
Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed the arrests.
"Three suspects in connection with the viral CCTV video circulating on social media, which shows a man being attacked, allegedly at Gwanda Shopping Mall in Kisenyi, near the Kisenyi Taxi Park, have been arrested," Kituuma said.

He also said that three motorcycles allegedly used in the attack had been impounded.
"We have identified other two suspects involved in the incident, and the hunt is on," he added.
He promised to share more details in due course.
CCTV footage shows the gang following the victim before pulling his bag from his back. When he attempted to fight back, the suspects drew crude weapons, including a panga, and retaliated, injuring several people.
The video has since drawn mixed reactions on social media.
The incident comes amid ongoing police operations aimed at ridding the city of gangs that have been terrorising residents.
