Sh1.2 trillion stolen in 2025 — Police report
A total of 1,195 suspects were convicted of stealing cash, of which 73 were juveniles.... According to the report, the Police recovered sh6.5b out of the sh1.2 trillion stolen last year. In 2024, a total of sh72.3b was stolen while the number of cases reported was 8,136.

KAMPALA - A total of 7,364 cases of cash thefts were reported to Police last year, resulting in the loss of a staggering sh1.2 trillion, a new police
