“We have fewer issues with Mzee Museveni. He has made approaches in poverty reduction crown it all, the security has enabled Uganda’s steady progress,” Benard Mukama, the district NRM administrator, said.

Buyende assistant Resident Commissioner Sharif Isabirye said issues that affect communities have been captured and shall be channelled to the President’s Office.

These include reducing the age of accessing the Social Assistance Grant for the Elderly (SAGE) to 60 from 80, scaling up household income and the issue of stockouts in government health facilities.

“Now that you have given Museveni another mandate, the Government, by the close of the five-year term, will have sought solutions for them,” Isabirye said.
