Six Ssembabule officials interdicted over corruption allegations

SSEMBABULE - The Ministry of Local Government has ordered the immediate interdiction of six senior officials in Ssembabule District pending investigations into alleged mismanagement.

In a letter dated August 1st 2026, Permanent Secretary Ben Kumumanya directed the Chief Administrative Officer to interdict the officers with immediate effect under Section (F-S-) 14 of the Public Service Standing Orders, 2021.



The affected officials are: Allan Kiyemba, the district Physical Planner; Gregory Mugabe, the district Natural Resources Officer; Twaha Musoke, the district Community Development Officer; Emmanuel Champion Kananura, Senior Land Management Officer; Michael Kakuru, Secretary District Land Board; and Henry Bukenya, Forest Officer.

The interdictions are intended to pave way for investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit and other government agencies.
