The Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), Maj. Gen. David Mugisha, has today flagged off the SFC Alpha and Bravo drill teams ahead of the Second Inter-Forces Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Drill Competition.
According to a statement from the presidential press unit on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, the two teams will join participants from other services and formations in Bombo for final rehearsals before converging at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, where the competition will take place.


During the inaugural competition held last year, the SFC won two trophies and emerged the best in mastery presentation, while the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) was crowned the overall champion.
This year’s competition will feature various categories, including Sword Drill, Cane Stick Drill, Crop Stick Drill, Foot Drill, Pace Stick Drill, and Mastery (Showmanship) Drill.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by the SFC Chief of Staff, Brig. Gen. Paul Namawa; Deputy Commander 1 Special Forces Group (1 SFG), Col. Dismas Kamuza; Brigade Commanders, Directors, senior and junior officers, as well as non-commissioned officers.
