Prince David Kaijanangoma laid to rest at Karambi Royal Tombs

Born in 1967 to Prince Christopher Paul Kijanangoma and Ruth Kugonza, he is brother to Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, who was earlier this month selected as the new king of Tooro.

Hundreds on Friday turned up at St John's Cathedral in Fort Portal for the funeral service of Prince David Kaijanangoma, who died on September 15, 2026, at the Uganda Cancer Institute Mulago.

He is survived by a widow and seven children, including six daughters.

He succumbed to Oesophageal cancer.

Born in 1967 to Prince Christopher Paul Kijanangoma and Ruth Kugonza, he is brother to Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, who was earlier this month selected as the new king of Tooro.

His burial took place at Karambi Royal Tombs, where his cousin Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV was buried on September 12th.

Aged 34, Oyo succumbed to Cancer last month while undergoing treatment in Dallas, Texas, USA.
