_______________
Security agencies led by the Police made a dramatic return to the home of outgoing Speaker of Parliament Anita Among in Nakasero on Wednesday (May 20) afternoon, impounding additional high-end vehicles.
Officers arrived with low-bed police car carriers and were seen hauling away at least four more vehicles: a Sports Utility vehicle bearing registration number UBH 138W and a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration plate UA 630 BE.
Wednesday's seizure follows a string of raids and searches of Among's homes in Wakiso and Kampala that began on Saturday.

How it unfolded
On Saturday at 2:30pm, more than 15 Police vehicles, vans, and minibuses descended on Among's leafy residence along MacKinnon Road in Nakasero.
A truck sealed off the road and uniformed officers secured the gate while operatives in plain clothes spread across the surrounding area in what security sources described as a "coordinated tactical operation."
Before nightfall, black suitcases were loaded into a white Police van and driven away. Their contents remain unknown.
By Sunday, the operation had expanded beyond Nakasero. Investigators extended their reach to Among's other reported properties in Kigo, Wakiso District, and at Ntinda in Nakawa Division.
Then on Monday (May 18), security impounded Among's
2025 model Rolls-Royce Cullinan registration number UA 426EH, valued at approximately sh3.4b.
By press time, the operation at Nakasero was still ongoing.
The allegations
Among is being investigated over serious allegations including corruption, money laundering, and abuse of office.
Sources close to the investigation confirmed that the net is widening. Several Members of Parliament, parliamentary staff, and officials linked directly to Among's office have been lined up for questioning as investigators expand the scope of their probe.
Among has not yet issued an official public statement on the latest developments.
