PLU takes anti-corruption fight to Wakiso

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) announced that it will hold a baraza in Wakiso District on October 3, 2026, in a bid to streamline governance by interacting with the community on how to improve service delivery.
The revelation was made during a media presser at the PLU headquarters in Kampala on September 14.
PLU Secretary General Fadil Twalla affirmed that the event will be an anti-corruption forum that will continue to cement the organisation's fight against corruption.
“It is very important for us to know where our country is and where we are going. So, it is a responsibility for all the citizens. It will be a baraza for anti-corruption. We are also there to be whistleblowers for our country. PLU will stand for patriotism and love for their country,” he said.

Twalla said PLU will also use the platform to continue their efforts in seeking over 20 million signatures as they endorse the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, for President in 2031 and beyond.
He also revealed that various activities, including medical and legal teams, will be available.
“This medical team will help us. They will be checking, screening cancer, they will be treating malaria and giving free medicine. I want to tell you people, come, we join hands, let's be in Wakiso together,” he said.
Freda Twesigye, a PLU mobiliser in Wakiso, called on women to turn up for the baraza in large numbers and be part of the efforts to push the country’s agenda forward.
