The Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Rally Day One ended on a disappointing note for the fans.
The fans who had high expectations were disappointed when they managed to watch only one stage a day instead of a minimum of two stages that they expected.
“This is very disappointing. After investing a lot in this rally, how can I end up watching only one stage,” a fan said when they got the news that the last stage had also been cancelled.
This followed the heavy morning rains that led to the cancelling of the Shekhar Metha stage which was the first stage of the three-day rally.
After the cancelling of stage 1, the fans rushed to stage 2 which was Kivuuvu, and others to stage 3 which was Kasaku Tea Estate.
There was a delay of close to three hours for the cars to come to the Kasaku stage. After that stage, the fans rushed to Kivuuvu, which is found in Nakapinyi, Mukono district expecting to watch it as their last stage.
So, the rally returns today for the final day, starting with Shekhar Mehta Stage in the morning and then Kivuuvu and back to Kasaku in that respective order.
