Motorists using Kampala’s Northern Bypass have been advised to avoid the Kisasi to Kyebando stretch after a truck overturned, causing heavy congestion along the route.
According to the Uganda Police Force, the incident occurred on the morning of July 19, with the recovery operation temporarily occupying both lanes and causing significant delays for road users.
Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said authorities were working to clear the overturned truck and restore normal traffic flow.
Motorists were on Sunday urged to use alternative routes where possible as the recovery operation continues.
