Over 100 prisoners pardoned over health, humanitarian grounds

A press release by Uganda Prisons Service spokesperson Frank Baine says the move to release convicted minor offenders is in accordance with Article 121 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda.

In exercise of his prerogative of mercy, President Yoweri Museveni has pardoned 130 prisoners on health and humanitarian grounds. (File/PPU)
