The arrest comes at a time when security is investigating former Parliament speaker, Anita Among, over alleged corruption, abuse of office and money laundering.
Security operatives have since searched Among's office at parliament, and her properties in Kampala and Wakiso district. These include her homes in Nakasero, Ntinda, Kigo, as well as in Bukedea district.
Sources privy to the probe confirmed that several Members of Parliament and parliament staff, including officials linked to Among’s office, were lined up for questioning as investigators widen the scope of their inquiries.
