NUP's Kivumbi, two others transferred to Masaka over Lwengo crimes

MASAKA - Three supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) have been transferred to Masaka to face charges related to crimes committed during the burial of the late  Paskal Sekasamba, in Lwengo district on May 18, 2024.

The suspects—Achileo Kivumbi, Gadaffi Mugumya and Grace Wakabi, alias smart—are accused of aggravated robbery, assault, and malicious damage after allegedly attacking mourners they suspected of recording the event.

“They are set to appear in court in Masaka today (Tuesday).  The search for their accomplices is ongoing, and updates will be provided in due course,” said  TwahaKasirye, the Police spokesperson for Greater Masaka.
