NUP Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya, announced while addressing the media at NUP headquarters at Makerere Kavule in Kampala city on January 16, 2025.

Support Ssegirinya family

Rubongoya also urged well-wishers to support the family of Kawempe North MP, Muhammed Ssegirinaya, who passed on last week after a long illness.

"We are in touch with the family of the late Ssegirinaya but as a party, we are requesting all well-wishers that can come to the aid of his family to come and give a helping hand. As a party, we are giving a helping hand but we are also constrained because we have several people that we are taking care of," Rubongoya said.

Rubongoya noted that it's sad that the party lost Ssegirinaya, one of the party members who were jolly adding as a party, they commiserate with the family.
