NRM UK Chapter's Assimwe urges Ugandans in diaspora to invest back home

NRM diaspora members have been urged to invest back in Uganda and utilise the current investment opportunities in health, tourism, agriculture, and other sectors.

Addressing members of NRM UK Chapter during a function to thank Dr. Nik Kotecha OBE, who donated an oxygen generating plant worth sh300m and an ambulance worth 40.000 pounds to the Health Ministry, Patrick Assimwe praised Moses Mulimira, the health director of NRM UK Chapter, and lead the Uganda UK health alliance for ensuring that all the necessary paperwork to transport the oxygen plant to Uganda was in place.

Assimwe also thanked President Yoweri Museveni for offering land for a  pharmaceutical industrial park and also thanked Dr, Diana Atwine, the permanent secretary in the health ministry and UK health alliance for the effective leadership and creating a health alliance between UK and Uganda.

Assimwe noted that through his leadership, he has recruited and guided members who have ideas in developing Uganda in different sectors and called upon the Ugandan government to support those willing to invest at home.

The function held in East London also discussed a SACCO for all members and another recruitment drive for NRM cadres.
