LONDON - Former Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, has implored Ugandans in the diaspora to cultivate a clear ideological stance and play an active role in protecting and promoting Uganda's image on the global stage.

Highlighting his role as the Chairperson of the African Global Security Foundation, Mbabazi underscored the need for dialogue and reassured members that any organisation that lacks the ability and capacity to resolve differences internally is doomed to fail.

Recognising the significance of peace and stability in fostering a conducive investment environment, Mbabazi urged the diaspora, particularly the youth and healthcare professionals, to embrace opportunities for skills exchange with Uganda.

He noted that the country's current peaceful climate presents numerous avenues for growth and development.

The NRM UK chapter meet the former Premier at Uganda High Commission to deliver a ‘get well soon message’ from the branch. The purpose of the visit was to offer their best wishes as he recovers from a back ailment.

The meeting was met with warm appreciation from Mbabazi, who expressed his gratitude for the kind and timely gesture despite facing some opposition during his stay in London.
