New Vision, Uganda’s leading newspaper, together with other platforms under Vision Group, has been hailed for promoting unity, harmony and socio-economic transformation in Uganda.
Rev. Dickson Nuwamanya, the chaplain of Bishop Stuart Teachers College, Kibingo and Nyamitanga institutions, made the remarks on March 19, 2026, while leading prayers during the New Vision at 40 celebration organised for staff at the Vision Group Mbarara bureau.
The celebrations began with prayers held in the newsroom, followed by a cake-cutting session, after which staff shared a celebratory breakfast.

Rev. Nuwamanya also commended what he described as the strong collaboration between Vision Group and religious institutions, particularly in promoting messages of unity and stability.
“We thank God for the opportunity the Vision Group team has given us to preach the gospel. I’m very sure there are many people out there who have accepted Lord Jesus Christ because of the message preached through Vision Group platforms,” he added.
He also prayed for continued reconciliation, repentance and forgiveness, especially during the Lent season.
In his remarks, Crovince Kahwa, Vision Group team leader at the Mbarara bureau, appreciated those who founded the company during difficult times and pledged continued commitment to delivering content that transforms society. He also commended customers for their support over the years.
He noted that Vision Group has integrated a number of new platforms and technologies aimed at better serving Ugandans.
Ronald Santana, TV West station manager, attributed the 40-year success of New Vision to the support of its customers over the years.
Dickson Nandinda, Radio West station manager, praised the longevity of New Vision, noting that many companies have collapsed over time, and attributed its resilience to unity among staff.
Some of the staff interviewed, including Betty Komujuni, a presenter at TV West, and Edwin Ram and Patrick Kabaterine, sports presenters at TV West and Radio West respectively, thanked Vision Group for giving them the opportunity to serve the nation through various platforms.
