Ndejje Elites Volleyball Club is looking to win both the regular season and the playoff of the National Volleyball League this year.

The 2023 National Champions made their statement clear after beating rivals KCB Nkumba 3-0 in the regular league game on Sunday in Nsambya.

Coach Tadeo Winyi is optimistic his charges can make it despite there being areas of concern that need to be addressed.

He said that he was happy for the win, but not impressed by the standards the team exhibited during the 3-0 win against Nkumba.

“If you look at our attack, we spike at the opponents' block but we are not sure where the ball has gone. It is either panic or lack of focus. So, we must address these areas," Winyi said.

“We also need a second setter who is equally good as the current one so that we prepare for the continental challenge. But still, back at home, our target is to win both the regular season and the playoffs.”

Ndejje on Sunday will play KAVC, then take on the league defending champion KCCA before facing Kampala University and sealing the regular season against Sport S.

Ndejje, a former volleyball powerhouse is rebuilding the side that tormented rivals in 2018, 2019.
