WAKISO - The parishioners of Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church, Nabbingo (located in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso district) are in an upbeat mood as they await the grand celebration of the 80th anniversary of their parish, which will take place today, Saturday, May 28 (2022).
The function (starting at 10:00am will be presided over by the Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, the Most Rev. Paulo Ssemogerere.

During the same function, Ssemogerere will ordain Rev. Nsibambi (currently a Deacon of the Catholic missionary institute of the Hy Ghost Fathers) to the priesthood.
Grace Lwanga, the reigning head of the laity of the parish has asked the Christian and friends of the parish to turn up in large numbers to give the occasion a befitting spectacle.

“This is an extraordinary function because it has the added value of the Sacrament of ordination. Let’s give it a befitting presence,” Lwanga said.
Nabbingo Catholic parish is one of the parishes founded by the White Fathers, in 1942.
It is a dynamic parish with many projects, including a Health Centre 3, a technical school and rental shops among others.
