On arrival, the President inspected various stalls of the products that are manufactured at the Liao Shen Industrial Park.
While at the trade fair, Museveni noted that the government is committed to protecting Uganda’s local industries by implementing a heavy tax on foreign industries that produce the same goods, just like those in Uganda.
“For everything that is produced in Namunkekere, the government is going to impose a tax on imported products,” Museveni said.
