Uganda's President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged British and European investors to take a keen interest in investing in Africa, saying the continent possesses huge potential for economic growth, trade, and shared prosperity.

He mentioned this on Thursday (July 2) while meeting with the UK's Minister of State for International Development and Africa, Baroness Chapman, at State House in Entebbe.

A statement from the President's press team said they held discussions on strengthening the longstanding partnership between Uganda and the UK, with particular emphasis on investment and economic cooperation.
